(5-15-16) How do you determine a 'DYNASTY' in high school sports? One way is to look back and see how many conference championships a team wins over the years.

For Celina, it has dominated since the late 1970's, from 1981 to 2003, they won 15 consecutive WBL championships.

The Bulldogs easily outdistanced Wapakoneta 149.33 to 49, to win this year's championship as Celina picked up it's 26th WBL Girls Track title.

Celina won three of four relays, two field event titles and three running event titles.

1987 Ohio HS Volleyball State Championship Semi-Final Game - St. Henry vs. Newark Catholic. WCSM's Dave Schmidt and Celina High VB Coach on the call of the game. This was the first ever radio broadcast of a state volleyball game.

1991 Ohio High School Regional Championship basketball game. Last second shot by Jill Froning for unranked Celina wins the game over Ohio's #1 rated Pickerington (were also rated in USA Today Top 5)...Celina went on to win the Ohio D1 State Championsip game. Game was played at Bellefontaine HS, Dave Schmidt doing the play-by-by for Celina Cable TV.
